WB12 High Pressure Booster

Download datasheet

An oil free, diesel engine-driven, two cylinder, double-acting, reciprocating gas booster compressor for further compression of air & nitrogen (other gases on application) without the addition of lubricating oil. The cylinders can be configured for either single stage (parallel) or 2-stage operation on site if required. The engine is equipped with air start, Chalwyn valve and spark arrestor for open deck safe area use offshore and all applications onshore.

Mounted on a heavy duty oilfield skid with cage & side protection bars for lifting into place with slings/chains. Delivered volume is controlled by engine speed, with further turndown achievable by means of recirculation. Compressed gas is cooled on package with its built-in high pressure intercooler/aftercooler module and moisture separation.

Performance

Booster compressor performance is dependent on temperature, pressure & compressibility of freed gas

Download datasheet

A diesel engine driven Single stage, reciprocating gas booster compressor for further compression of air and nitrogen – other gases on application. The unit is suitable for onshore petrochemical and offshore use in safe areas. The engine features an air start system for ruggedly reliable starting.

The compressor is mounted horizontally on a heavy duty ‘Oil-Field’ skid frame with side protection bars and is equipped with 4-leg wire rope sling for single point lift. Compressed gas is cooled and moisture separated after compression by means of an on-board after-cooler incorporated within the cooler assembly. Delivered volume is controlled by engine speed, with greater turn-down achievable by re-circulation, if required. All controls and safety systems a re pneumatic for added reliability.

Installation:

  • Avoid restrictions to cooling air flow.
  • Install away from obvious sources of heat (i.e. adjacent compressor cooling air, exhaust, etc.)
  • Allow at least 1m. access to each side of compressor.

Operation:

  • This equipment is to be operated and maintained by Coates Rentair personnel. Ear defenders shall be worn.
  • It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that fuel, lubricants and other consumables used meet current Coates Rentair & original equipment manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Support spares are available for supply (sale or return) for shipment with this equipment.
  • Coates Rentair personnel are available to operate / maintain this equipment throughout the UK and wherever in the world you work.

Daily:

  • Monitor compressed gas temperature and pressure
  • Drain pulsation vessels as required – check every shift
  • Check fluid levels, air filter and cooler condition each shift
  • Ensure fuel is clean

Every 300 hours:

  • For reliable operation, access is required to shut down this machine to carry out the Coates Rentair ‘Silver Service’ programme - attendance is required at 300 hour intervals / monthly.
