Jim Paterson, Offshore Engineer was nominated as the Coates Offshore candidate for the Jim Brown Service Award in Sydney, Australia after beating tough competition from other nominees, Elaine Walker, Customer Services Manager, Pauline Cordiner, Customer Service Supervisor and Charlie Duncan, Service Manager.

Kieran White, Executive Director said “Jim’s contribution to our business unit has been extraordinary, to say the least. Working in one of the toughest Offshore environments in the North Sea. Jim is on rotation with three other Coates Offshore engineers on the BP Schiehallion floating production facility. The Schiehallion FPSO is located in the Schiehallion oil field, West of the Shetland Islands.

In July, Jim Paterson travelled to Sydney, Australia to attend the Jim Brown Dinner and was joined by other finalists from within the Coates group. Although Jim did not win the overall award, we wish to congratulate him on reaching the final."
