Children supported by local charity Cash for Kids are set to receive a special Christmas gift from global equipment rental specialist firm in Aberdeen. Coates Offshore have teamed up with Cash for Kids for Christmas to donate mountain bikes along with lights and 12 month care plans to groups of disadvantaged children in the North-east.

One group of youngsters benefitting were today visited by Ian Cass, Sales & Marketing Director at Coates Offshore who hand delivered bikes to children supported by St Machar Parent Support Group.

Ian Cass said, “We are delighted to support the great work of Cash for Kids who support so many children within our communities. Christmas is a magical time of year for children and we wanted to give something to the more disadvantaged youngsters in our community to help make their Christmas a bit special.”

Cash for Kids support around 20,000 disabled and disadvantaged children and young people throughout the North East of Scotland every year. The St Machar Parent Support group supports children and their parents with educational issues.

Cash for Kids Charity Manager, Michelle Herd commented, “We are thrilled to receive such a great donation from Coates Offshore. The groups and children are absolutely over the moon to receive a bike for Christmas.”

“Coates Offshore has made Cash for Kids their nominated charity and in addition to donating the bikes instead of sending Christmas Cards this year we will continue to support them in any way we can in the future,” added Ian Cass.
